Pamela Anderson is staying true to her promise to go out in public without a single gram of makeup. The 56-year-old Canadian-born actress starred in the spring/summer 2024 ad campaign for New York luxury brand Proenza Schouler. The images were taken by Georgian photographer David Giorgadze.
Anderson shared on social media shots from a photo shoot in which she showed minimalism in her hair and makeup and strict, masculine, lines in her clothes. For example, in one of the photos she poses in a $2,600 Maxwell Anorak gabardine nylon jacket, black pants and belt with the brand's monogram for $640. This haute couture photo shoot caused a storm of excitement from the actress' fans. They began to praise her for her courage in showing natural beauty.
Pamela began to appear with a "clean" face since last summer. After September's Paris Fashion Week, she admitted in a conversation with Vogue that she had no intention of causing so much talk with her updated image. "I really didn't think it would even be noticed by anyone. I'm doing this for me, not for anything else. You know, I ask myself: 'Why am I putting so much effort into this?' Why am I losing three hours in the makeup artist's chair every time?". Anderson added that as she got older, she stopped fixating on her outer beauty and focused on achieving harmony with the world around her.
