Blackheads and acne are skin diseases that can appear mainly on the face. In most cases, they are the result of clogged pores. We'll tell you how to deeply clean clogged pores. With a little persistence, blackheads and blackheads will disappear. It is important to remember that all manipulations with the face must be performed only on skin cleansed of cosmetics.

How to open pores on your face and why it is important to do so.

The skin consists of epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The first two lie on one of the most important layers, the subcutaneous tissue, which includes fat cells to protect the body from extreme temperatures and other factors.

Skin pores tend to become clogged, particularly due to makeup, oil, and sweat produced by the body itself. This is why opening the pores on your face is essential to remove sebum and makeup residue. This is an easy task that will make your face look flawless.

The most effective methods for opening pores on the face:

  • Steam (breathe over the steam for no more than five minutes. Chamomile, lemon balm or lavender can be added to boiling water);
  • A damp towel (we soak it in the water that was used to steam the face);
  • Mask for the face;
  • Facial scrub;
  • Procedures in beauty salons.

1. Par.

To make the steam-opening method more effective and provide additional cleansing and hydration to your complexion, we recommend including some herbs that are beneficial for your skin type, such as chamomile, lemon balm or lavender.

  • Cleanse your skin well and remove all makeup.
  • Pour 1 liter of water into a saucepan, add two teaspoons of the chosen herb, stir and leave on the fire until it boils.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and place it on a flat surface so you can comfortably position your head over it. If the water is too hot and the steam burns your face, wait a few seconds until you notice that you can tolerate the heat it generates.
  • Place your face close to the pan. Cover yourself with a towel, making a kind of tent over your head to prevent steam from escaping, and the procedure will give good results. You should remain in this position for 15 minutes so that your skin gets steamed, your pores begin to open, and you can get rid of the sebum and dirt that is clogging them. If you have sensitive skin, the procedure can be shortened to 5 minutes.

After this time, rinse your face with cool water and use a cotton pad to apply facial toner, targeting the areas where you have the most acne. The toner will help improve the cleansing of pores and close them, making your skin beautiful and radiant. Finally, apply moisturizer to your face.

2. Wet towel.

This is an effective and quick facial cleanser. We explain the steps you need to take:

  • Wet a cotton towel with warm water. You can do this procedure after steam cleansing your face and moisten the towel with the water you used in the previous step.
  • Make sure the towel is damp.
  • Place the towel on your face for 10 or 15 minutes until it cools down. You can use this method as many times as you deem necessary.
  • Finally, apply a thin layer of moisturizer.

4. Clay face mask.

A clay face mask is another effective method for deeply opening and cleansing pores. We'll explain how to do it step by step:

  • Before you start applying the mask, you must have a clean face. You can apply the mask after using steam and a damp towel.
  • Apply the mask in a thin layer. The mask will help prevent pores from opening thanks to the properties it contains. You should be careful not to let the mask come into contact with your eyes or mouth.
  • Wait until the mask forms a dry layer. You must wait the required time depending on the type of mask, skin type and package insert.
  • Wash your face with warm water to remove the product until no dirt remains.
  • You can apply a thin layer of oil-free moisturizer.

It is recommended to use a clay mask no more than once every 15 days.

5. Facial scrub.

The purpose of exfoliators is to remove dead skin cells. Here are the steps you should take if you have pores on your face:

  • Apply the scrub onto your palm.
  • Apply gentle circular motions over entire face, avoiding the eye area.
  • Wash your face with warm water, completely removing the product.

The choice of scrub will depend on your skin type and needs, as will the timing of product application. Depending on your skin, you should use one type of exfoliator or another depending on your needs.

Salicylic acid scrub is one of the most popular scrubs currently on the market as its use promotes balanced, acne-free skin. Recommended for oily skin with a tendency to acne. We also highlight natural or mineral-based exfoliants. The purpose of such masks is to remove the surface layer of skin that is at rest.

It is important to remember two basic tips:

The first is the need to cleanse your face every evening. It is better to clean it in the evening rather than in the morning. The reason is that the skin repairs itself at night and therefore it is more important to keep it clean.

Another tip is the importance of removing all makeup. Sometimes we feel like we don't have any makeup on our skin anymore, but we grab a cotton pad and micellar water and - surprise! There's still a little makeup left. This is very harmful, clogs pores and prevents the skin from breathing.

Adopting these healthy habits will prevent unsightly blackheads from appearing on your skin. In addition, good cleansing will help you avoid premature skin aging and early wrinkles due to poor care.
