Hugh Hefner's ex-bunnies made scandalous confessions

Participants in a TV show filmed at the Playboy mansion, spoke about the morals that reigned there.

On the Girls Next Level podcast, Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, former members of "The Girls Next Door" shared candid memories. The reality show aired on E! from 2005-2010 and depicted the everyday life and festivities of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. The famous mansion was located in one of the most picturesque corners of Los Angeles and was famous for grand parties and loose morals. Young girls flocked there from all over America, dreaming of a career as models, TV and movie stars and hoping that "the almighty Hugh" would help them launch such a career..

Now, as it turns out after more than ten years, life at the Playboy mansion was not at all rose-tinted, but surrounded by drama, rivalry, and neglect. Mores were too loose by the standards of the now grown up and wiser former "bunnies" of the media mogul. Holly Madison, recalling the experience of sexual relations with Hefner, admitted that at age 22 she felt like a "piece of meat" and "used". The intimate act often took place, she said, in front of witnesses who were not shy about openly gloating and endlessly discussing the more fortunate rival on any given night.

According to Marquardt, in doing so, everyone called the 80-year-old Hefner "daddy" and tried to sexually satisfy him as quickly as possible, treating it as an annoying duty. "Nobody took it seriously. If you refused, you could get kicked out of the house, so everyone tried to do it quickly," Bridget noted. She described her first experience as "disappointing" and "frustrating," making her feel ashamed and self-defeating.
