“Chanel Girl”: Penelope Cruz in dresses from the famous French brand
The Spanish actress became an ambassador for the fashion house back in the early 2000s and has remained faithful to it ever since.
Penélope Cruz has the rare opportunity to observe first-hand Chanel's haute couture efforts. "Over the years, I've been to different ateliers of the brand, visiting all these women creating dresses, and I've seen them many times the day before the show," she told British Vogue. “They never leave a dress without making it 100% perfect.” This meticulous attention to detail inspires the actress to wear Chanel again and again. From luxurious evening dresses on the red carpet to signature tweed suits at press conferences, all this beauty is provided by the fashion house created in 1910 by Coco Chanel. As its ambassador, Cruz exclusively uses new products and often wears things literally straight off the catwalk.
While it's not easy to trace her stunning Chanel fashion shows over the years, we try to do so in this review.
2004
She was first seen wearing a Chanel suit - a jacket and skirt made of white, voluminous tweed, which its creative director Karl Lagerfeld created for the French brand at the beginning of the 21st century.
2020
Penelope attended the Oscar ceremony in an asymmetrical dress made of thick black satin. The look was complemented by accessories typical of the French fashion house - imitation white camellia on the bodice and white pearls around the waist.

She arrived at the Venice Film Festival by traditional river taxi wearing a total Chanel look. Jeans with logos and a voluminous blazer made of checkered tweed were complemented by a bag, earrings and shoes from the French brand.

At the Cannes Film Festival, Cruz shone in a jacquard dress with frills made of the lightest black tulle.
2019
And again... black, white, camellia, bow. The DNA of the French brand was sewn into the outfit in which the actress appeared at the annual Met Gala.
2021
Penelope graced the Venice Film Festival that year with a luxurious dress in a characteristic black and white color scheme. According to the press service of the fashion house, this outfit required 300 hours of work.

At the Chanel cruise show, the actress posed in a minidress with a large cutout at the back. Even her light sandals were decorated with brand logos.
