Stars came to the Cannes Film Festival wearing dresses by Russian designers
Several actresses demonstrated models “made in Russia”.
The 77th Cannes Film Festival is taking place in the south of France. Every day, those who are lucky enough to be on the Cote d'Azur these days can watch the parade of stars on the famous staircase of the Palais des Festivals. Of course, people are attracted not only by big names, but also by the luxurious dresses in which actresses and socialites appear. This time we have reason to rejoice - several participants of the pathetic event wore creations of Russian designers.
Thus, Chinese actress Tong Liya appeared in an outfit from the famous brand YANINA. The chiseled silhouette, texture in the form of feather scales, deep gray color and a huge, spectacular train made the star of the film “How Long Will Our Love Last?” (2018) noticeable and out of the ordinary. Interestingly, this is not the first example of YANINA being demonstrated at major international events. Both our stars and Western ones love to wear dresses from the Russian fashion house on the red carpet. Among them are Elizaveta Boyarskaya, Gwen Stefani, Eva Longoria, Lady Gaga and others.
Meanwhile, Tong Liyi's compatriot, another Chinese actress Elaine Zhong, appeared on the red carpet in Cannes in a voluminous pale pink with gold touches silk organza dress from Valentin Yudashkin. According to the brand's press service, the actress's assistants contacted them after a recent show at Dubai Fashion Week 2024 and asked them to prepare an unusual model for sale. Now, a year after the death of fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin, his place was taken by his daughter Galina Yudashkina, who became the new creative director of the fashion house.
Traditionally, the Cannes Film Festival is an excellent place for members of the film community to demonstrate the creations of famous luxury brands of clothing and accessories. Thus, Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Balenciaga, Balmain and others are in a hurry to show their dresses and suits at the forum. Now, as we see, for Russian designers, the festive event that takes place every year in May in the south of France is not closed to the presence and display of their opportunities.
