'I'll put a pillow on my head and scream':Cher celebrated her 78th birthday

Shortly before celebrating her 78th birthday on May 20, singer Cher attended the Los Angeles premiere of the documentary Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion. When asked by ET about her plans for the big day, she admitted with a smile, "I'm going to put a pillow over my head and scream." Previously, answering a similar question, she said: "I'll put my head under the bed." The singer did not reveal the meaning of these cryptic phrases, but judging by her playful mood, it was a lifehack on how not to be sad on your birthday and not to think that "the time is short".

Last year, after celebrating her 77th birthday, Cher tweeted, "Okay, someone please tell me...when am I going to feel old. This is ridiculous. I hear these numbers but honestly don't understand them. What do I do with them? I'm dyslexic and it's difficult for me."

Thanking fans for their support, the singer also admitted that she has a hard time "managing" social media. And she would gladly give the right to run the same Twitter (now Social Network X) to a tweet bot.

This past November, Cher talked about age and being a guest on the Good Morning Britain program. "I just can't believe I'm going to turn 80 at some point. And I'll still be wearing jeans and long hair and doing all the things I've always done."

As you can see, the singer is not going to retire. Her mother Georgia Hall died in 2022 at the age of 96 and until the last day led an active lifestyle. Not lagging behind her and her daughter.
