The first trailer for Brendan Fraser's drama "The Whale" is out
For the performance of the main role in this film 53-year-old actor is already predicted to receive an Oscar.
Brendan Fraser is back in big cinema with a very emotional new role in The Whale. It was directed by Darren Aronofsky based on the 2012 play of the same name. The main character (Fraser) is named Charlie, a former English teacher and now a secluded almost 300-pound man. In doing so, he desperately tries to reunite with his teenage daughter Ellie (Sadie Sink), whom he and his wife left for another man.
The drama also stars Hong Chow, Samantha Morton and Ty Simpkins. "The Whale" was first screened at the Venice Film Festival in early September. At the end of the screening, Fraser received a 15-minute ovation for his performance as Charlie, which left him unable to hold back tears.
"The Whale" is scheduled to premiere on December 9.
