Gary Oldman announces the end of his career

The star of "Leon" and "The Fifth Element" is starring in his latest project.

The role of Jackson Lamb in the TV series "Slow Horses" will be the last job in the long career of British actor Gary Oldman.

According to the artist himself, he had long planned to retire, but kept waiting for the right moment to "slam the door loudly". And that moment seems to have arrived.

"I would consider it a great honor and a great fortune to end my career playing Jackson Lamb," the 64-year-old actor explained.

He added, however, that if this project is renewed for a few more seasons, he'll probably still wait to retire.

On account of Oldman dozens of roles in films and TV series, but the Russian audience knows him mainly through his participation in the cult action movies of Luc Besson's "Leon" and "The Fifth Element".
