The producers of And Just Like That promised an upbeat second season
The new episodes will resemble the good old "Sex and the City," say the authors of the project.
Fans of "And Just Like That" the sequel to "Sex and the City," are in for a pleasant surprise in season two. HBO's head of original projects Sarah Aubrey told reporters that next season will be filled with the vibe of the original series. To recap, "Sex and the City" aired on HBO from 1998 to 2004. It featured four cronies exploring the world of New York City men.
"It's a very upbeat season, and I think in some aspects it will be reminiscent of episodes of the classic 'Sex and the City,'" Aubrey noted. As expected, lead character Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) will embody the adventurous spirit she's always been known for. "Of course, that's going to happen, first and foremost, with Carrie. Because she's always ready for a new adventure or a new relationship, a new friendship in town, and you can definitely feel it. We're very excited. I've already seen the new clothes. So I'm looking forward to the next episodes, just like the rest of the viewers."
There will also be a change in the cast in season two. Sarah Jessica Parker has already confirmed that she and her colleagues will be joined on set by John Corbett as Aidan Shaw.
The second season of "And Just So" on HBO Max is expected to be released in 2023.
