Courtney Cox: "The script for Scream 6 is ready."

Gale Weathers is still in performance. Courtney Cox has announced that she may reprise her character's role in the sixth film adaptation of the popular slasher franchise. It also starred Neve Campbell and David Arquette.

The trio returned to the big screen in a fifth film called simply "Scream" just like the original 1996 film. The new picture premiered in January of this year.

"I don't know anything about the contracts or how things are going, but I will say about the script - it's really good," Cox said about the sixth film, due out next spring. "You should be killed if you talk about it, so I'm not going to say anything else," the actress joked one last time.
