Dan Stevens will star in "Godzilla vs. Kong" sequel

Adam Wingard was once again confirmed as director.

Dan Stevens is ready for action. The 39-year-old actor and star of the "Downton Abbey" series has signed on to play in the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster "Godzilla vs. Recall, the film has grossed $462 million at the worldwide box office on a $200 million budget.

Stevens' work will be directed by Adam Wingard, who directed the original film. Back then, Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry played the roles.

Filming will begin this summer in Australia. Plot details are still being kept secret, Deadline reports. Dan shared the news of the project's launch on social media, and his future partner, Rebecca Hall, playfully commented, "The gang is back."
