Warner Bros. wants cooperation with Joanne Rowling on Harry Potter projects

The film company plans to create new content related to the universe of the popular hero.

According to American media reports, the head of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav expressed dissatisfaction with the quality and box office performance of the latest Harry Potter projects.

For example, the last of the episodes of "Fantastic Beasts 3: The Mysteries of Dumbledore," as a sequel to "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," collected only forty-three million dollars at the domestic box office, which cast doubt on the creation of future projects.

As a consequence, the company plans to reengage with author of the Harry Potter books, Joan Rowling.

Earlier Warner Bros. said about the suspension of all contacts with the writer because of her sharp criticism of the appearance in the new projects about Potter "gender heroes" and replacement of the characters without her consent.

Joan Rowling's reaction to the initiative of the film company is not yet known, but we must understand that David Zaslav may make her an offer that will be difficult to refuse.
