The 55-year-old actress is no stranger to playing strong women.
Nicole Kidman has joined the cast of Taylor Sheridan's new Paramount+ series, The Lioness. She will not only play the lead role, but will also act as an executive producer. Lioness is based on a real-life CIA program.
According to the official synopsis, the story will follow Cruz Manuelos (Laisla De Oliveira), a gruff but emotional member of the Marine Corps. She is being recruited into the CIA's Lioness Engagement Team to infiltrate terrorist organizations and undermine them from within." The project will also feature Zoe Saldana, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hebert and others.
Kidman will play Caitlin Meade, described as "a senior CIA administrator with a long career behind her and a knack for playing political games. She must juggle the roles of a woman in the high-ranking intelligence community, a wife who craves attention she can't give herself, and a mentor to someone suspiciously close to the rocky path she's on herself."
