Some artists bited their elbows after losing or giving up a role that would later bring fame and money to one of their colleagues.

Leonardo DiCaprio.

Leonardo has a lot of movies under his belt, half of which brought him fame. But the start of the actor's popularity began with the cult drama "Titanic", in which his name was not initially present at all. The main male role was claimed several artists at once, including the star of "Home Alone" Macaulay Culkin.

But despite the pressure from outside, director James Cameron has shown persistence, deciding to pair Kate Winslet with a young DiCaprio.

And he did not lose. But Malkin, who has already managed to pass the casting, apparently, was very regretful about the loss of such a role.

Pierce Brosnan

.

This actor at one time played in all the more or less significant westerns and action films. However his owes his legendary status to the role of James Bond in the movie "GoldenEye".

Few people know that the producers have dreamed to see Mel Gibson for this role, and even preliminarily approved it.

But then the director Albert Broccoli suddenly take a bold stand, deciding that "Agent 007" must be played by a British actor. And Mel was asked off the set.

Robert Pattinson.

Probably few people know about the fact that Pattinson got the role in "Twilight", which became a star for the actor, largely by accident.

Actor Henry Cavill has already trained for the role of vampire Edward, the more so, he was recommended to producers by the author of "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer.

But at the last minute, the filmmakers felt that the 24-year-old Cavill is too old for the role of a young vampire. As a result, they took Robert Pattinson in his place, although he was only a couple of years younger.

Harrison Ford.

Harrison Ford's filmography includes many big projects and notable roles. One of them was the role of Han Solo in the famous "Star Wars".

However, Ford got into this project only because before he refused the role no less famous Al Pacino. It was him that the director saw the image of Han Solo.

But after reading the script, the actor decided that it is too difficult, long and confusing to waste time on it. And declined. Next proposed Ford, and he agreed. And he certainly didn't miss out.

Jared Leto.

Ryan Gosling refused to sign a contract with Warner Brothers to participate in the movie "Suicide Squad" because of royalties being too small, as he thought .

Because of this, the iconic role of the Joker went to Jared Leto. He agreed to the proposed fee, and clearly did not regret it. It was this picture, which made his name noticeably famous.

And here Gosling was left only to grit his teeth, looking at the success of a colleague, which he gave him by his own hand.
