Expected films for January-February 2023

Avatar: Path of Water (January 1-12)

Foreign films are slowly but surely reaching Russian screens. Here, and the new creation of James Cameron, which has collected $ 1.4 billion at the box office to this day, was no exception. Visitors to Mori Cinema, for example, will be able to see the adventures of the Sally family on the mysterious Pandora. Residents of Togliatti, Pushkino and Krasnoyarsk have already done this. But, for example, Muscovites and Volgograd residents will have to wait a bit - until January 12th.

M3GAN (January 6)

Named after an out-of-control android robot, the film has already generated a wave of interest on the Internet. In the story, Allison Williams, in the role of a robotics engineer, set out to help an orphaned niece survive a recent tragedy. The film was produced by horror masters Jason Blum and James Wan, so those who are afraid better stay away from the screen in the case of M3GAN.

"80 for Brady" (February 3)

Based on the true story of the 2017 American Football Super Bowl, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Morreno and Sally Field play sidekicks. They go to the decisive match to see firsthand the adored Tom Brady on the playing field. This "anti-aging" comedy was directed by Kyle Marvin. It reunited Brady with former New England Patriot colleagues Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman.

"Knock on the Door" (February 3)

In the new psychological thriller by M. Night Shyamalan, a family lets four strangers into the house, demanding a sacrifice to prevent the apocalypse. Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff and Rupert Grint star in this story, based on Paul J. Tremblay's novel The Cabin at the End of the World.

Magic Mike: The Last Dance (February 10)

The film ends the screen career of stripper Channing Tatum and, in general, the trilogy of Warner Bros. Steven Soderbergh returned to the director's chair to put an end to, according to Tatum, the "Super Striptease Championship".

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania (February 17)

In the third installment of the Marvel Studios Ant-Man franchise, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and his family find themselves in the Quantum Realm and are forced to face Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). The project also featured Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang. The film will kick off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
