Named contender for the main role in the sequel to “Gladiator”
The producers have already begun negotiations with the artist.
According to Western tabloids, the director of the sequel to the Oscar-winning film "Gladiator" Ridley Scott and the producers of the project Michael Pruss and Lucy Fisher have almost decided on the main contender for the leading role in the film.
They call the star of the mini-series "Normal People" 26-year-old Irish actor Paul Mescal, with whom preliminary negotiations have already passed.
According to some reports, the parties were satisfied with each other, and there is a possibility that other applicants will not even be looked at.
Earlier it became known that the second "Gladiator" will be filmed in Morocco, presumably from the middle of this year. Recall that in the original film, the main role was played by Joaquin Phoenix.
