Anthony Hopkins will star in the new film "Freud's Last Session".

Hollywood actor Anthony Hopkins, star of "Silence of the Lambs," will play the role of the famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud in the new film "Freud's Last Séance.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Brown will direct the film.

The show is based on the play of the same name by Mark St. Germain. The plot unfolds shortly before the start of World War II and tells the story of the last years of Freud's life.

Production on the film begins this fall in London. The exact release date has not yet been announced.
