Alison Brie finds love in 'Somebody I Used to Know' trailer
The film was directed by the actress' husband, Dave Franco.
Prime Video has released the trailer for the romantic comedy Someone I Used to Know. It stars Jay Ellis and Alison Brie, who also wrote the screenplay with her husband Dave Franco. Franco will not appear on the screen this time, he stood on the other side of the camera to direct the filming process as a director.
The film follows workaholic TV producer Ellie (Bree) "who faces a major professional setback that forces her to seek solace in her hometown," according to the official synopsis. After a tumultuous evening of reminiscing in the company of her first love, Sean, Ellie begins to wonder what kind of person she has become. Things get even more confusing when the heroine discovers that Sean is about to marry Cassidy (Kiersey Clemons), whose confidence and creative ambition remind her of who she once was.
According to Franco, his new film is "a non-trivial love story of three people who unexpectedly help each other realize their place in life, find out where they came from and where they are going." The script was written by Dave and Alison, inspired by the romantic comedies of the 80s and 90s. Someone I Used to Know will hit theaters on February 10th.
