Cate Blanchett urged not to show film awards ceremony on TV
The artist received another statuette the day before.
On the eve of the Critics' Choice Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, where actress Cate Blanchett became one of the winners.
The actress received a prize in the nomination "Best Actress" for her performance of the image of a female conductor of the Berlin Orchestra in Todd Field's film "Tara".
Curiously, in her speech on the occasion of the presentation of the statuette, Blanchett surprised many by saying that the structure of the film award ceremonies needs to be radically changed.
“We go on stage and millions of pairs of eyes stare at us through the screens, discussing who came in what, who looks like, who will say what. You stand alone on stage and you feel like you're in a tampon commercial. Everyone is waiting for scandals, but the cinema seems to have nothing to do with it. It's time to stop making these damn shows out of award ceremonies and generally ban them from being shown on TV, ”said the actress.
What happened to Cate Blanchett is not entirely clear. But to criticize the ceremony right during the awards ceremony is strong.
