Paramount had to redo the poster of the series "Mayor of Kingstown"
The reason is the recent hospitalization of the actor as a result of an accident.
The creators of The Mayor of Kingstown billed it as "the most dangerous show on television" at launch, but season 2's advertising campaign suggests otherwise. Paramount+ urgently had to change the poster with the image of the lead actor Jeremy Renner. In the original version, he was presented as the all-powerful "gray eminence" Mike McCluskey with obvious wounds and scratches on his face. But after the incident that happened in early January with the actor, after which he ended up in a serious condition in the hospital, the TV people considered this image inappropriate.
As a result, as a sign of respect for the main star of their criminal project, the streaming service released a new poster, where Renner is already depicted without any signs of a struggle on his face.
"It's the right thing for the network," series co-creator Hugh Dillon told reporters. "Everyone wishes Jeremy a speedy recovery."
