Steven Spielberg will start directing TV series
Previously, the director preferred to stay away from this direction.
Director of a huge number of cult films, including "Jaws" and "Schindler's List", Steven Spielberg has stuck to the feature-length format throughout his career.
The only exception is the 2001 series Band of Brothers, which he helped shoot as part of a whole group of directors.
And now, with an impressive feature filmography behind him, Spielberg suddenly showed interest in the series.
“I have a certain affinity for long formats, and one day I will be directing a long-running series. But if someone had offered me an interesting idea like Meira from Easttown, I would have done it even earlier, ”the director reasoned.
According to Spielberg, today he is no longer so categorical in relation to the serial project, and it is possible that someday he will become famous in this direction.
