Olivia Cooke enters a sinister convent in new horror film The Visit
The actress will have to switch from fantasy to thriller.
Olivia Cooke, who starred in House of the Dragon, landed the lead role in Nicolas Pesce's horror thriller The Visit.
The film is about a teenage girl who, against the backdrop of her dying mother, is sent to a remote nunnery to be cared for by nuns.
However, behind the complacency of the inhabitants of this institution lies an ominous atmosphere and a chilling fear coming from the past.
In addition to Olivia Cooke, Isla Johnston, who played the young Anya Taylor-Joy in The King's Gambit, Alfie Allen from Game of Thrones, Penelope Wilton from Downton Abbey and film veteran Stephen Rea are involved in the film.
According to some reports, the filming process has already begun in a remote rural area in Ireland, where nature perfectly emphasizes the tense atmosphere of the plot. The release date has not yet been announced.
