Director Guy Ritchie expressed respect for the Russian audience
The director compared the attitude of viewers from different countries to his works.
Not so long ago, the famous British and Hollywood director Guy Ritchie, who made many cult films like Snatch and Sherlock Holmes, made an amazing discovery for himself.
It turned out that at home and in the West in general, viewers are much more indifferent to his work than residents from distant Russia.
In a recent interview about the release of his new film Operation Fortune: The Art of Winning, the director talked about this discovery.
“I found out quite by accident that my films are very popular in Russia. When we were filming Fortune in Turkey, it turned out that the English public staying there didn’t care about me at all. But the Russian people came up, were keenly interested in everything, and they told me about my films that they watched, ”said the director.
According to Richie, now he has the impression that he and the Russian audience are on the same wavelength.
