Horror "Bogeyman" based on the story of King received a release date

20th Century Studios has announced the completion of filming on the horror film The Boogeyman, based on a story written by Stephen King back in 1978. The premiere of the tape will take place on June 2, 2023.

Then the work did not really go, but decades later, the producers saw in it the prospects for creating a good film.

The story is included in the collection "Night Shift" and is known to the Russian reader under the title "And the Beech Came".

The plot revolves around a teenage girl and her younger sisters, who are trying to come to terms with the death of their mother, and unwittingly become the target of a dangerous supernatural being.

The film was directed by Rob Savage (Astral Online) and co-produced by Shawn Levy (Stranger Things).

The cast of The Boogeyman included Sophie Thatcher, known for The Hornets, Chris Messina, who starred in the project Julie & Julia: Cooking Happiness with a Recipe), Vivienne Lyra Blair, who starred in Tragedy in Waco, and other actors.
