Will Smith to return as Genie in Aladdin sequel
The echoes of last year's Oscar scandal are beginning to fade.
Will Smith's faltering career after last year's Oscar controversy seems to be picking up again.
A blow to the face of host Chris Rock, who joked about his wife, cost the artist dearly. At one time there was even a risk that Smith would no longer be filmed at all.
But gradually, producers and directors remembered the talents of the artist, preferring to forgive him past sins.
After the recent, albeit not very successful, "Liberation", Smith will receive another big role.
According to American insiders, director Guy Ritchie decided to shoot the sequel to Aladdin in 2019, and Will Smith has already invited Will Smith to play the role of Genie, as in the first part.
