'Avatar: The Way of Water' catches up with 'Titanic' at the box office
Cameron's films compete among themselves for the title of the most successful.
James Cameron's recently released Avatar: The Way of the Water surpassed Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the box office to become the fourth most successful film in film history.
The second "Avatar" is rapidly approaching the mark of 2.1 billion dollars, while "The Force Awakens" remained 2.071 million dollars.
The same Cameron, who is third in Titanic, has 2.19 at the box office, so The Way of Water has every chance of catching up with him.
The leaders of the rating are another brainchild of Cameron - the original "Avatar", which has almost three billion on its account. Avengers: Endgame is second with around $2.8 billion.
