French film star Gerard Cailliau dies
In his career there is even a play based on Dostoevsky.
At the age of seventy-six, the famous French actor Gerard Cailliau, who was called one of the most versatile artists in France, passed away.
He acted in films, went on the stage, staged performances himself, including The Idiot by Dostoevsky, made films, wrote scripts and even taught acting.
The peak of his film career came in the seventies and eighties of the last century, when he starred in a whole series of cult films at once.
His filmography includes such masterpieces of French cinema as "Fanan - the aroma of love", "Marie Antoinette", "Investigations of Commissioner Maigret" and many others.
