Jennifer Lopez almost died on the set of My Pirate Wedding
The 53-year-old leading lady was rescued by her action comedy partner Josh Duhamel.
Jennifer Lopez opens up about a life-threatening experience she had on the set of My Pirate Wedding. In an interview with BuzzFeed, she admitted that she "almost rolled" off a cliff while practicing one of the action scenes. The reason was the magnificent wedding dress of the heroine Lopez, which, according to the plot, falls into the wheel of a passing car.
“One day it got stuck in the wheel and I started to slide. I look at Josh and yell, "Josh, don't let me go, please!" she explained, holding out her hand to repeat the event. "He told me: "I'm holding you! You're leaving, we're leaving!" Luckily for the lead actors, everything ended well - the scene was filmed, and they remained alive and unharmed.
It is interesting to note that Jennifer not only acted but also produced My Pirate Wedding. On the screen, she and Duhamel appear as the bride and groom, Darcy and Tom, who are trying to stage a "dream wedding" on an exotic island, but in the process of preparation they begin to experience fear and panic. When their families are taken hostage by bandits, the couple unites to save their loved ones.
In Russian cinemas, the comedy "My Pirate Wedding" can be seen from February 14th.
