Murphy Brown star Charles Kimbrough dies
The series glorified the artist in the early nineties.
Renowned American stage and film actor Charles Kimbrough has died at his home in the United States. The artist was eighty-six.
His name became known to the general public after the nomination for the Tony Award in 1971 for Best Actor in the musical "Company" by Stephen Sondheim.
But Kimbrough's most stellar work was the role of TV presenter Jim Dial in the CBS comedy series Murphy Brown, for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1990.
In addition, the artist voiced many famous cartoons, including "Family Guy", "Pinky and the Brain", "Hercules", "Batman of the Future" and many others.
