Bob Odenkirk faces midlife crisis in Happy Hank trailer

The project will hit the screens next month.

Bob Odenkirk will have a hard time on AMC's Lucky Hank. The project will be a television adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Russo's novel The Immediate Man. The Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul star will play Hank Devereaux, head of the English department at underfunded Railton College whose life is starting to fall apart. The hero's restlessness is associated with an unresolved conflict with his father, mediocre students from wealthy families and an unhealthy situation in the unit entrusted to him.

Mireille Enos will play Hank's wife Lily, the vice principal of a local school who begins to question whether she is on the right track amid her husband's growing crisis. The project will also involve Sarah Amini, Diedrich Badech, Suzanne Cryer, Olivia Welch and Cedric Yarbrough. In addition to starring, Odenkirk will serve as an executive producer alongside showrunners Aaron Zelman, Paul Lieberstein and director Peter Farrelly. Lucky Hank will air on ABC on March 19, 2023.
