Keira Knightley's 'Boston Strangler' Trailer Released
The 37-year-old actress played the role of a journalist who discovered a pattern in high-profile crimes.
Keira Knightley travels back in time - this time with a chilling story: 1960s, Boston is rocked by murders of women. In the released trailer for The Boston Strangler, Knightley plays the role of journalist Loretta McLaughlin, who is the first to uncover the connection between similar crimes.
Eventually, this leads her to suspect Alberto DeSalvo. Only after being behind bars, he confesses to the murder of 11 women in the period from 1962 to 1964. But he was never charged, as DeSalvo died in a cell in 1973. In 2013, during a genetic examination, it was confirmed that he was the perpetrator of the crimes.
The film was directed by Matt Raskin. It was produced by 20th Century Studios. In addition to Knightley, Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper and others also took part in the project. The Boston Strangler will be released on March 17th.
