Hugh Jackman to play multiple Wolverines in Deadpool 3
Earlier, the 54-year-old actor revealed that the new comic book movie will involve time travel.
In an interview with France's Le Parisien, Hugh Jackman revealed he'll be playing a couple of Wolverine variants in Shawn Levy's upcoming film. “Yes, it will even be a double role. Ryan (Reynolds) and I have been friends for twenty years and we have a lot of fun. Filming will begin this summer,” the actor explained.
In the 2017 film, Jackman's iron-clawed superhero died. Therefore, X-Men fans were perplexed when Marvel announced the return of Wolverine in the third Deadpool. However, this was later explained by the ability of the characters in the movie universe to travel through time and, in particular, to find themselves in the past. Actually, according to the scenario in the third "Deadpool" this will happen, Wolverine will be shown in different periods preceding the death in "Logan", where he will meet with one of the versions of himself.
The new movie comic will hit the screens on November 6, 2024.
