Peter Dinklage will play a bounty hunter in the thriller "The Ticket"
He will be confronted by a high-class killer and gang leader played by Juliette Lewis.
In Calgary, Canada, filming has begun on the dystopian thriller/western The Ticket. Its plot is based on the novel of the same name by Joe R. Lansdale. The main roles in the film will be played by Juliette Lewis and Peter Dinklage, who will also act as an executive producer.
Esme Creed-Miles ("Hannah"), Levon Thurman-Hawk ("he Crowded Room"), Leisley Grace ("In the Heights"), Gbenga Akinnagbe ("The Old Man"), Macon Blair ("I Care a Lot") and others will also take part in the project.
The plot will follow naive young man Jack (Thurman-Hawk) as he plunges into an epic quest trying to rescue his sister Lulu (Creed-Miles) from the hands of a gang led by a brutal killer (Lewis) who kidnapped her. Hoping to resolve the situation, Jack turns to experienced bounty hunter Reginald Jones (Dinklage), the son of a former slave (Akinnagbe) and a witty street prostitute (Grace). "The Hunters" lures the bandits into a desert called "The Big Ticket," a place where blood and mayhem rule.
