Chris Evans will join Emily Blunt in the crime drama "Pain Hustlers"
The actors will show what the modern "American dream" has become.
Chris Evans will join the cast of "Pain Hustlers". The film will tell the story of a young woman named Lisa Drake (Emily Blunt). Due to family circumstances, she didn't finish school, gave birth to her daughter early, and has to struggle desperately to make a more or less decent life for herself and her baby girl. She takes a job at a loss-making pharmaceutical startup and with all her energy and charm, she tries to stop the company from going bankrupt. However, when business begins to improve, Liz finds herself in the middle of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences.
In terms of tone, the plot will resemble the pictures "American Hustle" (2013) and "The Big Short" (2015). The focus will be on the famous "American Dream," which is taking on an increasingly "toxic flavor" these days. "Pain Hustlers" will be directed by David Yates, known for his work on the Harry Potter and "Fantastic Beasts" films. What role Chris Evans will play in the crime drama is not yet reported.
