Andy Serkis wants to star in new Lord of the Ring films
"Middle-earth never let me go," - so the performer of the role of Gollum in the films of Warner Bros. commented on the possible participation in new projects of the film studio.
Andy Serkis is ready to go back to Middle-earth. The British actor revealed this in an interview with BroBible when asked about his feelings about new Warner Bros. projects that are planned to be based on a series of novels by John R.R. Tolkien.
“Look, (producers) Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens are kind of like a second family that I've become a part of and I've made so many films with. And – let me tell you – they are the best and most incredible people to work with. I think there are many other potential Middle-earth projects that could be made, and if they are going to do them, I will certainly jump at the chance to re-enact the relationship... Middle-earth has never let me go."
Serkis became the first actor who starred as Gollum in original Warner Bros. films to openly express a desire to join the studio's new projects. His other colleagues, in particular, Elijah Wood, Vigo Mortensen, Ian McKellen and others, remain silent on this subject.
