Black Adam star Dwayne Johnson has spoken out about the critical response his film has received. It was released in October last year. In an interview with Variety at the last Oscars ceremony, the actor noted the generally positive reception of Black Adam by the audience. As for the film industry professionals who called Johnson's creation "an uneven disappointment", then, in his opinion, they should not be paid much attention.

“All I could do, and all we could do when we filmed Black Adam, was to do our best, surround ourselves with the best people and make the best movie we could,” Dwayne admitted. “Our audience likes rating has reached 90%. The critics fired a couple of shots. It's just business and nothing more."

Black Adam grossed $392 million worldwide on a $260 million budget.
