Adam Sandler talks about his injuries on the set of "Murder in Paris"
The 56-year-old actor himself chose to perform dangerous stunts.
Adam Sandler may have personally done some stunt work on the set of the comedy Murder in Paris, but it's unlikely he'll want to repeat them. "My poor hip, at the end of the film I had to replace it," the actor said at the film's premiere at the Los Angeles Regency Village Theatre. “I have done so many films in a row. In the "Cosmonaut" I hung all the time on the wires. And I'm used to saying, "Something's going on with my hip, man. I have a problem". And then on another film, I’m like, “Yes, I definitely need to get an x-ray,” well, after that, we started having problems.”
Earlier, Murder in Paris director Jeremy Garelick said that Sandler's stunts were similar to those "Tom Cruise does." However, according to the actor, unlike his colleague, he is not going to act in films like the action movie Mission Impossible (1996). “At 56, everything scares you,” Sandler noted with a smile. “You never know what hell you will have to get out of. I am an untrained guy. My body is suffering. Jennifer is in good shape. I didn't think I needed to be in shape before filming, but when we started filming, I thought, "Yeah, I needed to get in shape."
"Murder in Paris" will premiere on March 31st.
