Samara Weaving to star in action movie Bella
The film will be produced by John Wick director Chad Stahelski.
Paramount Pictures is developing an action thriller titled Bella. The lead role will be played by the star of the sixth Scream, Australian actress Samara Weaving. The director will be Larisa Kondracki (“Better Call Saul”). Produced by Chad Stahelski, released after filming the fourth "John Wick" and Craig J. Flores ("300: Rise of an Empire"). The script was written by Jason Markarian and Jesse Wigutow.
The action of the hyperstylized action movie "Bella" will unfold in the 80s in New York, when rampant crime reigned in the city. Weaving will appear on the screen as the daughter of a policeman. She decides to avenge the assassination attempt on her father and put him in a hospital bed for a long time. In parallel with the revenge, the girl is going to deal with the corruption that is deeply rooted in the New York Police Department.
