The upcoming release of the fifth episode of first season of "Moon Knight" , another adaptation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is getting more and more solid, though not exactly stunning, reviews. The movie review site Rotten Tomatoes has published a rating based on reviews from both professional critics and general moviegoers. So far the numbers are as follows: 87% of likes from experts with 169 reviews and 93% of likes from viewers with 3,321 reviews. It should be noted that movies and TV projects from the Marvel Cinematic Universe have not been very happy with high ratings lately, with the exception of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021). But so far, "Moon Knight" is clearly not in last place.

Moon Knight first appeared in a comic book series of the same name. It was published in 2014 by artists Declan Shalvey and Warren Ellis. The plot follows a quiet employee of a gift store, Stephen Grant, suffering from memory lapses and memories of a parallel life. Stephen discovers that he has dissociative identity disorder and his body belongs, in addition to himself, to the bounty hunter Mark Spector. In the face of unforeseen circumstances, Stephen/Mark learn to get along with each other as they delve into the deadly mystery of the powerful gods of Egypt.

"It's a story about identifying and finding your true self," executive producer Grant Curtis told USA Today. "The journey Mark Spector takes goes through our entire show: Who am I? And how do I put together the disparate pieces of my past, present and potential future that I don't quite agree with? Being able to accept your baggage and yourself is something each of us deals with in our daily lives."

"It's amazing that the brain has this survival mechanism, this way of coping," Oscar Isaac says of his character's dissociative identity disorder. "At an early age, if you're going through severe psychological trauma and violence, your brain can split personality for survival. An alternate persona emerges that has no idea what's going on. Otherwise, you just die, because it's all extremly terrifying. And there's an incredible, sort of beautiful superpower in that."

The overall critics' verdict on Rotten Tomatoes reads, "The entertainment value of Moon Knight may rise and fall, but in the end, the viewing experience is enjoyable. And that's despite the fact that the main character's story is out of step with the Marvel universe."

The first episode, "The Goldfish Problem," is 95%. (Out March 30th).

About: Stephen Grant learns about what it might be like to be a superhero sharing a body with a ruthless mercenary.

Score : Raises more questions than it answers about this new identity of the main character. But Oscar Isaac's versatile performance makes it clear why viewers should continue to stay in front of TV screens.

The second episode of ""Summon the Suit"" is 94%. (Out April 6th).

About: In a short time, Stephen finds himself entangled in a war of the gods, and then a new partner shows up...

Critics' Assessment: Stephen has to meet his alter ego Mark...or is it the other way around? This episode is a kind of exposition, shot with humor to smooth out the information flooding.

The third episode, "The Friendly Type," is 95%. (Accessed April 13th).

About: Mark and Lila explore Cairo in search of information.

Critics' Review: The action shifts to the Egyptian capital to show the transformation of the hero and flesh out the mythology of the Moon Knight. The lead actor, Oscar Isaac, gives interesting and expansive material to work with.

The fourth episode, "The Tomb," is 92%. (Out April 20).

About: Mark/Steven must find a balance to stop the supernatural forces threatening them.

Critics' Rating: By all accounts, the best Moon Knight episode. It shows a tumultuous adventure that gets the viewer hooked with a reimagining of the story that follows.
