Robert De Niro to play detective in Paramount+ series

The project is called "Bobby Meritorious" and will be filmed in New York.

Robert De Niro chose another TV project to work on. A few months ago, it was revealed that he would be starring in the Netflix show Zero Day for the first time in his career as a former President of the United States.

Now, the 79-year-old Hollywood veteran has signed with Paramount+ to appear on Bobby Meritorious. The action of this series will unfold in the Attorney's Office of the Southern District of New York - a separate "kingdom" with enormous powers and influence. The stability of the entire structure is threatened when one of its employees, who was working on an important case, decided to share the details with the press. De Niro's character, a former cop-turned-detective, is the only person who can stop the informer and restore "calm" to the county.

The script will be written by Billy Ray, who worked on Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) and Gemini (2019). In addition to starring, De Niro will executive produce Bobby Meritorious.
