Ryan Gosling: "I'm waiting for a call from Marvel"
So the 41-year-old actor jokingly responded to rumors of his participation in the Marvel Studios film "Nova."
Ryan Gosling gave a big interview to MTV News. In it, he denied rumors of involvement in the new Marvel Studios project "Nova." When asked which of the comic book characters he would like to play, the actor replied humorously, "It doesn't matter. I'm not right for 'Nova.' But I'd like to do it. The question is, who can I play? I'm waiting for a call with an invitation to play Captain Canada."
Captain Canada is a superhero who appeared in a comic book published in the late '70s in the Canadian Newfoundland Herald and later in the graphic novel Atlantis. In addition, Marvel Comics features a character called the Guardian, who was created as the Canadian equivalent of Captain America.
Despite Gosling's Canadian joking tone, Screen Rant writes, Marvel Studios dreams of seeing him in their movie universe. If the parties agree, Ryan will join such stars as Charlize Theron, Russell Crowe, Christian Bale and others on screen.
