HBO releases trailer for dystopian series The Regime
The plot is built around the head of one of the European states, which is trying to redraw the political map.
The collaboration between Kate Winslet and HBO will continue with The Regime, a mini-series due out in 2024. A short video has been published giving a first impression of the upcoming project. The showrunner was Will Tracy, best known for his work on the hit TV series The Heirs. Stephen Frears, Frank Rich and Tracey Seaward alternated in the director's chair.
The action of the series will unfold in the palace of one of the "modern European regimes" when everything begins to crumble. Moreover, in an earlier logline it was said that the series would be about an “authoritarian regime”. Winslet played the title role. She was accompanied on the set by Hugh Grant, Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough and others.
