The Weeknd presented a song from the series "Idol"

The 33-year-old Canadian musician not only worked on the soundtrack of the project, but played one of the roles in it, wrote the script and produced it.

The Weeknd has released the first song from the soundtrack of the upcoming HBO series Idol. It's called Double Fantasy. This is not a solo number of the singer and composer, but his collaboration with rapper Future. The composition was produced by Abel himself (real name The Weeknd), Mike Dean and Metro Boomin. The song was released with a video clip in which you can see footage from "Idol".

Before recording "Double Fantasy", The Weeknd and Future collaborated on the tracks "Low Life", "Drinks on Us" and "Comin Out Strong". On stage, The Weeknd presented a new song at the last Coachella festival. Future was sung by Metro Boomin.

The series "Idol" will be presented at this year's Cannes Film Festival, which opens on May 16th. It will be released on HBO on June 4th.
