The trailer of the black comedy is out "Triangle of Sadness"
An international team of filmmakers worked on the film.
The new trailer of this year's Cannes Film Festival winner, the satirical comedy "Triangle of Sadness," is available online. The film was directed in English by Swedish director Ruben Östlund with the participation of colleagues from France, Great Britain, Germany, Greece and Turkey.
In "Triangle of Sadness," one of the main roles is played by Harris Dickinson, known for his work on "Beach Rats" (2017) and "The King's Man, 2021". He will appear on screen as an aspiring mannequin who gets a chance to vacation on a luxury yacht after his girlfriend wins the prize of a free cruise. Woody Harrelson will play the role of the ship's captain, a chronic alcoholic. His guests on the boat are full of pretentious snobs, and soon after the departure the trip takes an unexpected turn for them.
At the Cannes Film Festival in May, "The Triangle of Sadness" shocked the audience by making some of the audience leave the room during a 15-minute scene detailing the vomiting process. One of its shots is also featured on the poster for the film. After the Cannes screening, Variety critic Peter Debruge praised Estlund in a review. "He builds, overlaps and realizes scenes with meticulous precision -- with a kind of agonizing anxiety heightened by awkward silences or unwanted flies buzzing between characters trying to communicate." The world premiere of the film is scheduled for Sept. 28.
New european releases also include the August 19 release on Netflix of the Polish melodrama "The Next 365 Days."
