Apple TV+ has released footage from "The New Look," a World War II drama series about fashion pillars Christian Dior and Coco Chanel. The lead roles are played by Emmy winner Ben Mendelsohn and Oscar winner Juliette Binoche. The project was created by Todd A. Kessler. On streaming service the series will be released on February 14, the first three episodes will be available immediately, followed by the release of a new series on Wednesdays until April 3.

The plot is based on real events that took place in Paris captured by the Germans. Both Dior and Chanel try to cope with the negative consequences of the occupation and redefine modern fashion.

With the rise of Christian's star and the growing popularity of his original designs, Chanel's reign as the world's most famous fashion designer is called into question. The intricate saga follows the remarkable stories of Dior's contemporaries and Chanel's rivals to Pierre Balmain, Cristobal Balenciaga, and others.

"The New Look" also stars Macy Williams (Catherine Dior), John Malkovich (Lucien Lelong), Emily Mortimer (Elisa Lombardi) and Claes Bang (Spatz).
