Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie will play Danny Ocean's parents

George Clooney has given the green light to Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie to play the parents of his character Danny Ocean in the prequel to Ocean's Eleven (2000). Despite the fact that there is little information about the new film at this time, there are rumors that the stars of “Barbie” will portray on the screen a married couple who raised a future professional robber.

“Margot Robbie is my mother? I've always thought about this. And Ryan Gosling is my father, when you think about it, that means something. Really,” Clooney told Vaiety at the premiere of his film as director, Boys in the Boat (2023).

The Ocean's Eleven prequel will be directed by Jay Roach from a script by Carey Solomon. Although Clooney's 2000 trilogy is set in Las Vegas, the new film is expected to take place in Europe in the 1960s.
