The 62-year-old actor reprised the role of Detective Axel Foley, 30 years after the release of the third installment of the crime franchise.

Eddie Murphy's character, Los Angeles police detective Axel Foley, is returning to the big screen. Netflix has released a trailer for the new movie "Beverly Hills Cop 4." Murphy is joined on set by his "old buddies" Kevin Bacon, Paul Reiser, John Ashton, Bronson Pinchot, Jaj Reinhold and more. Under the leadership of Foley, their characters are engaged in maintaining order in the elite neighborhood of the city.

This time the Detroit native will be joined by his daughter (Taylor Page), whose life is in danger, and a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) to investigate the death of a longtime confidante and uncover a conspiracy.

The new film from director Marc Molloy, "Beverly Hills Cop 4," is the first film adaptation of the popular franchise in 30 years. It can be seen next summer. The first comedy debuted on screen in 1984 and was Murphy's breakthrough to fame. It earned an impressive $234 million at the box office and was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Original Screenplay category. Sequels were released in 1987 and 1994.
