Last summer's hit movie Barbie did not win the Golden Globe Award in the musical/comedy category. Although according to many experts, it had every chance. The story about the famous doll directed by Greta Gerwig with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles lost the prize to "Poor Things" by Yorgos Lanthimos.

The plot of this fantasy drama follows Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), who has been transplanted with the brain of her unborn child. With this "kit", the heroine begins to learn about herself and the world around her. Both pictures are linked by a focus on women, but the Golden Globe organizing committee felt that Lanthimos' "look" was more worthy of being awarded.

"Barbie" fans were disappointed to see their favorite picture ignored. They had hoped that along with the "Golden Globe", received "partner" picture Gerwig, the biopic "Oppenheimer" in the category of "Best Dramatic Film", "puppet" tape also will not remain without a prize. But this time "Barbie" can boast only "Golden Globe" for achievements in the box office ($1.4 billion) and the best soundtrack - the song "What Was I Made For?".
