Josh Hutcherson is set to star in one of the highest-grossing movies of 2023, the movie adaptation of the video game Five Nights at Freddy's. And he told Variety the other day that work on a sequel to the movie is now in full swing. "I know they're in the process of creating the story, and they want to get it out as quickly as possible. Of course, it's being pushed by absolutely incredible fans. And for me to be a part of that is so cool and phenomenal."

According to Hutcherson, he has high hopes that the sequel will resonate with audiences. "But I don't think anyone, even among us, expected the story to actually shoot the way it did. I'm looking forward to getting back on set. Emma Tammy, our director, is fantastic and it was fun to immerse myself in such a world. I can't wait to see what they come up with in the next installment."

The plot of "Five Nights With Fredii" centers around Mike Schmidt (Hutcherson), who takes a job as a security guard at a gated entertainment center. His nightly vigils trigger flashback dreams in which he reconstructs a childhood kidnapping of his brother. Critics wrote scathing reviews on this creation of Emma Tammy, but the audience liked it very much. At the box office, the horror film with a budget of $20 million grossed almost $300 million.
