Nicole Kidman will star in horror film "Mice"
The plot will be based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Gordon Rees.
The companies behind the production of the series “Nine Complete Strangers” and “Play Back”, Blossom Films and Made Up Stories, will work on another project. It will be a film directed by Justin Kurzel and starring Nicole Kidman.
They teamed up on the film adaptation of Mice, Gordon Rees's debut novel. The script will be written by Sean Grant. With Kurzel, they filmed the drama, which won the main prize at the Cannes Film Festival, “Nitram” (2021), as well as the television series “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” which has yet to be aired.
"Mice" follows Shelley and her mother as they find themselves in difficult circumstances and forced to reexamine their moral principles in the face of bullying, violence and fear. The novel was published in 2011. "We were absolutely captivated by Gordon's book - and one of those stories that gets under your skin and stays with you," Blossom and Made Up Stories said in a special statement.
